CONTEST - WIN YOUR PURCHASE

1. Terms of participation 

Purchase required. This contest is reserved for Quebec residents, over the age of 18 and is governed by Canadian and Quebec laws.

To enter the contest, simply visit the Chicoutimi Hunting and Fishing website at https://manage.kmail-lists.com/subscriptions/subscribe?a=UZUF8x&g=R3jSZc and submit the newsletter registration form during the contest period.

Submitting an entry to the contest signifies that you have read the contest rules and agree to abide by them. You agree that submitting an entry to the Contest through the Website or any other electronic platform constitutes an electronic signature on your part, which binds you to these Rules. 

The boxes of the form marked with an asterisk or otherwise indicated as mandatory must be completed to participate in the contest.

To be valid, entries must be received no later than February 28, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.

Limit of one entry per person during the contest period. 

No entries will be accepted after the above deadline for any reason. Entries received after this deadline will be rejected.

1. Eligibility conditions

Participants must reside in Quebec and have reached the age of majority on the date of the start of the contest.

The following people are not eligible:

1. The employees of Hunting and Fishing Chicoutimi;
2. People residing under the same roof as them.
   
   

1. Method of awarding prizes

A random draw will be conducted after the contest closes by an employee of Chasse et Pêche Chicoutimi from among all eligible entries received during the contest period.

The winner will be contacted by email at the address used on the entry form and must claim their prize according to the instructions of Chasse et Pêche Chicoutimi as soon as possible.m from 60 days to from the date and time at which he was first contacted. 

In the event that the winner does not claim his prize within this period is declared ineligible, the prize will be automatically canceled and Chasse et Pêche Chicoutimi may, at its sole discretion, designate another winner, even if the name of the winner has been already been publicly announced.

Chasse et Pêche Chicoutimi may, at its sole discretion, require proof of identity or age from a participant. Refusal to provide the requested proof will automatically result in the disqualification of the participant.

5.1 To be declared a winner, the selected entrant must have completed the contest entry form between February 1 and February 28.

5.2. By participating in the contest you:

1. acknowledge having read and accepted the contest rules and comply with them;
2. confirm that you meet all of the contest eligibility requirements and accept and enter the prize (if you win);
3. agree that your name, the name of your city and province of residence, your image, your statements and/or your voice as well as your participation may be used without compensation by Chasse et Pêche Chicoutimi for promotional purposes and other purposes in connection with the competition;
4. and your heirs, successors and assignees release Chasse et Pêche Chicoutimi and its respective directors, officers, agents, consultants, volunteers and employees (the "Contest Organizers") from any liability with respect to compensatory damages , direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise arising out of your participation in the Contest, the use of your entry and the awarding, acceptance and use of the awarded prize (if you win).

5.3 The prize must be accepted as is and cannot be exchanged, refunded, sold or transferred. No substitutions will be granted.

5.4 If unable to provide the prize exactly as described in these rules, the Contest Organizers reserve the right to substitute a prize or item of approximately equivalent value, at their sole discretion. Under no circumstances will Chasse et Pêche Chicoutimi be held responsible for a number of prizes greater than that indicated.

5.5 Refusal to accept the prize or part of the prize releases the Contest Organizers from any obligation towards the winner regarding the prize or part of the prize in question.

5.6 In the event of a dispute or complaint that an entry violates these contest rules, entries will be deemed to have been submitted in accordance with the contest rules by the authorized account holder of the account used to submit the contested entry. You may be required to provide proof (in a form acceptable to Chasse et Pêche Chicoutimi) that you are the authorized account holder of the account used to submit the entry in question and, if applicable, that you have all consents, authorizations and /or necessary licenses, as required by these regulations. If Chasse et Pêche Chicoutimi determines (in its sole discretion) that an entry violates the contest rules, it will automatically be disqualified from the contest.

5.7 The decisions of Chasse et Pêche Chicoutimi regarding all aspects of this Contest are final and binding on all entrants without right of appeal, including, without limitation, all decisions regarding the eligibility/disqualification of entrants and/or entries. .

5.8 Chasse et Pêche Chicoutimi reserves the right to modify the rules of the Contest or to end the Contest at any time without incurring its liability in any way whatsoever with respect to a participant. Any changes to the Contest Rules will be posted on the Website. Without limiting the foregoing, Chasse et Pêche Chicoutimi reserves the right to adjust, without notice, the dates and/or deadlines mentioned in these rules, when necessary, following technical or other problems, or in light of any other circumstance which, in the opinion of Chasse et Pêche Chicoutimi, in its sole discretion, affects the proper administration of the Contest as contemplated in these Contest rules, or for any other reason.

5.9 The Contest Organizers are not responsible for loss, damage or bodily injury of any kind, including but not limited to: i) lost, stolen, late, damaged, misdirected, destroyed, illegible or incomplete entries ; (ii) loss, theft or loss of integrity of software or computer or telephone data, including breaches of privacy; (iii) fraudulent calls; (iv) the inability of any person to participate in the Contest for any reason whatsoever, including, but not limited to, errors in postal or e-mail addresses, computer or telephone malfunctions or any other problem of operation of online computer systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software; lost, late, incomplete, illegible or misdirected entries; bugs, service failures, hardware or software failures or loss of transmission, transmission delays or compromises of transmitted data; congestion problems on the Internet or any other website, or any combination of the foregoing; (v) damage to any person's computer equipment, including damage resulting from the use or downloading of any content related to the Contest; (vi) any delay or inability to act due to an event or condition beyond their control, including a strike, lockout or other labor dispute at their establishment or at the establishments of the organizations or companies whose services are used to hold the Contest; (vii) loss, damage or misdirection of prizes upon delivery or (viii) loss, damage, defects or inability to use prize once awarded to winner for any reason whatsoever.

5.10 The social media or other platforms used for this Contest, and their respective parent companies, affiliates, directors, officers, agents, consultants, volunteers and employees disclaim all liability for damages, compensatory damages, direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, which may be caused by participating in the Contest or downloading any information relating to the Contest or which may in any way result therefrom.

5.11 You agree that in your use of social media or other platforms for this Contest – including, without limitation, in the chat areas and at registration and in the use of social media accounts, names user or group names - not to use language that is obscene, defamatory or abusive, that infringes on the trademark or trade name of a third party, or that violates any other intellectual property right or right to privacy.

5.12 If it is determined by Chasse et Pêche Chicoutimi that persons are tampering with or misusing any aspect of the Contest, including, but not limited to, violating its rules, attempting to enter the Contest more than the maximum number permitted, by acting in such a way as to interfere with the normal running of the Contest, these persons will be disqualified. Any person who enters or attempts to enter the Contest using robotic, automated, macro, or programmed methods, or any other similar method, or through third parties, will have such attempts voided and such person will be disqualified at the sole and complete discretion of Chasse et Pêche Chicoutimi.

5.13 When the Contest rules allow the use of social media such as Facebook, Twitter or any other social network to participate, participants are informed that the social media and each of its managers and agents assume no responsibility, whatever whether it is in connection with the holding of the Competition. However, by participating via social media, all rules governing its use apply.

5.14 The personal information requested on the entry form, such as name, language and email address, is collected, stored and used by Chasse et Pêche Chicoutimi for the purposes of administering the Contest as well as for sending marketing newsletters. .

5.15 In the event of a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the authorized account holder of the email account at the time the entry was submitted will be deemed to be the entrant. The person assigned the email address for the domain associated with the submitted email address is considered the authorized account holder. A selected entrant may be required to provide proof that he or she is the authorized account holder of the email account associated with the entry. All entries must be submitted from a valid email account that can be identified by reverse domain name search. The time and date of submission of an entry into the Contest, in order to establish the validity of such submission, will be determined solely by the Contest server.

5.16 The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Chasse et Pêche Chicoutimi reserves the right to disqualify all entries that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, submitted by illicit means, sent by automated or robotic methods of sending which have the effect of artificially increasing the chances of win or which do not strictly comply with the rules of the Contest. Chasse et Pêche Chicoutimi declines all responsibility for errors or omissions in the printing of material or advertising related to the Contest.

5.17 The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. If any provision is held to be invalid, unenforceable, or illegal, these Rules shall remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms and conditions, as if such provision were not contained herein.

5.18 By participating in the Contest, participants agree to abide by these rules and the decisions made by Chasse et Pêche Chicoutimi, which are final and binding.

5.19 Participation in the Contest, as well as the participants' consent to participate and to comply with the Contest rules, are governed by the laws of the province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. By submitting their entry form, entrants agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Quebec.
